From Netsurge@77:1/100 to All on Sun Jul 7 23:24:22 2019
Does anyone know if the QWK Hub feature set in Mystic is complete and working?

I can't find anything in the documentation about it and haven't been able to figure out how to get it going and if can act as a FTN <-> QWK gateway.

I've tried getting it to work, and was unable to. I ended up setting up a
copy of Synchronet that I'm using to gate between FTN<>QWK. If you'd like, I could set the system up to gate scinet as well... I've already got two
networks being gated, so adding another wouldn't be a problem.

That would be awesome. I have a few people who have already applied looking
    for QWK only feeds.

Do you want me to create a scinet node specifically for the gate?

No problem. Give me a little bit, and I should have it up and running... :)

That would probably be easier. That way there's no confusion as to the
    routing.

I can set it up to feed from here. I just have to remember how to change the binkit settings... :)

I'll also post a list of the conference numbers when I get it finished and tested.

Sounds good. I hope I've got things set up right. This is also a test
message. It should be getting sent to the gateway...

Ok, I ran into an issue with hpt. I've got everything set up in the config, (areas, links) but when trying to toss a packet from 77:0/10, I'm getting "No Link for 77:0/10.0, processing only Netmail".

I have the link set up with the same AccessGrp, high enough Level, I have it listed in the areas as a link, I've tried adding the .0 onto the address, I even tried adding @scinet to the address, and it still says there's no link...

I've changed and adjusted everything I can think of, but I'm missing
something. Any ideas as to what I overlooked?

Alright. It's still giving me the 'red ass', but I think I've narrowed the problem down. For some reason, the link listing of 77:0/10 is being read by tparser as 0:0/0.

If I run tparser on the config, At the end I get:

    Link Sci_FTN-QWK 0:0/0 :
    Error: Invalid (zero) address

When I scroll up to view the link section from tparser, it shows the system
    aka as 0:0/0.

If I change the address to something like 77:1/10, tparser will give me all kinds of errors saything there is no link for 77:0/10...

I wish it would make up it's mind...

That is because I am an idiot. 5D did away with the 0 as the net for the zone and replaced it with the zone number itself. So it no longer is 77:0/10 but 77:77/10. Please use 77:77/10. Sorry about that.

You're not an idiot... Not even close... I was wondering if it was something like that, the way tparser kept insisting it was 0:0/0.

I think that part of it's working now. :) I just want to run a quick test to make sure the qwk node can connect and get mail...

According to Huskys change log it will still accept mail for 77:0/10, it will just translate it to 77:77/10.

Mystic still seems to use 77:0/10. I should mention that to James.

Alrighty... We are set up and operational!!!

Here is the list of conferences:

    7701 scinix
    7702 sciart
    7703 sciads
    7704 scibbsmod
    7705 scibbssoft
    7706 scifanchat
    7707 scigame
    7708 scichat
    7709 scimystic
    7710 scios
    7711 scicode
    7712 sciretro
    7713 scifichat
    7714 scistats
    7715 scisysop
    7716 sciwarez

Would it be easier if I exported the subs.txt file? That way you could
include it into the archive and if the person is using Synchronet they can
just import all the information... Give me a minute and I'll throw a copy
    into your filebox...

You could also put in there, that the sysop can connect to bbs.castlerockbbs.com:2323 to set up the QWK account. I will have to
physically give them the security flag for scinet, so it may take a bit after they sign in. Also emphasize the port 2323, as I've had people try to create
a QWK account on Castle Rock, and Mystic didn't know what the heck they wanted... ;)

Any echomail was getting renamed to .sec, and outbound mail packets were getting addressed to 1:0/0.

    It's working smoothly now... :)
