    Greetings,

I took those "bad" packets headed for my point and imported them directly
into my point and they looked like normal netmail. I am not sure if that
helps to figure out the problem or not. So to my untrained brain that says mystic not routing the messages or not knowing what to do with them?

I've explained it to you already. The PKTs are you getting are addressed to a system that is not yours (they are addressed to your point system). Your Mystic system isn't going to process PKTs that are not addressed to it.

When I tested the same scenario with Netsurge who uses HPT, the PKTs I get
from him are properly addressed to my system even when the contents of the
PKT contain point netmail messages that should be routed.

Who is sending you the netmail and what tosser are they using? The first step is we need to figure out why its sending PKT files to your system that are addressed to a different system. As noted, when I have tested this with
other systems they are not behaving like this.

Its probably 4 or 5 different people so I cant speak to what they are using, however someone close by to me is using mystic and I can get mail to him but his goes to bad packets. There is someone from the midwest I think and netsurges response didnt come through either.

Certainly not trying to be a pest, just trying to sort it out.

If it helps to sort out I got this from someone to my mystic bbs netmail

"This is weird, for shits and giggles I polled rob's hub as my point. I received 4 netmails from you. 2 of them had bad reply address's that ended
with /64 in it... the other was mail that I received back around april 8th.. wonder why his system didnt delete once sent?? Or maybe didnt flag it as sent if routed. maybe we need to contact rob?"

I know our hub Rob is on SBBS

    Not sure what that means.

You're not being a pest at all. I do think you're making it much more confusing by posting for help in so many different areas and having people
all over the place getting involved.

The reason I suggested the bad_packet setup is so you now have a copy of
those PKT files and you can send them to me via e-mail so I can take a look (mysticbbs@gmail.com)

Although I'm not sure I will be able to figure anything out from them if they simply are not addressed to your system - because that is exactly why Mystic isn't opening them.

I thought maybe PKTs for points were supposed to be addressed to the point even when sending to the parent node and that somehow Mystic was doing it wrong all these years... But when I tested that with Netsurge his HPT tosser seems to behave exactly like Mystic.

Send a netmail to PING@77:1/100 from your point system. My system will send
you back a netmail to your point system with a copy of your original message including all of the kludges and seen-bys. Let's see if you get it on your point system.

Like g00r00 said, I sent him a netmail to his point system and he got it just fine so there is something along the chain that isn't configured properly.
Let us see if we can sort it out for you.
