I'm not sure if I have every advertised this, but SciNet has a
Tradewars game server up and running that any sysop (and individual
users) can connect to and play using rlogin.

You can add the game to your BBS or login to it and play at twgs.scinet-ftn.org using rlogin on port 513.

If you need help getting it setup or connecting to it, just let me know.

Slightly OT - I also have TWGS, which I paid for (so I intend to use it hehe) and am not versed in how to actually play it. lol. Is there a decent tutorial anywhere?

Also, how does one go about adding custom modules? I seem to recall a lot of old star trek influenced mods for the game...but that was in the TW2002 days. Does TWGS support something like this?

I hear ya. I did the same. Support for multiple connections and multiple
    games.

It sure does. The game server per say is nothing more that something like a door game server, the underlying game is still the same, the game server just allows you to run/play it without a bbs.

Maybe during the next few weeks I can put together a howto on adding modules and playing the game.

    to accomplish?

Under Mystic you add a new menu entry with IR (Outbound RLOGIN) as the action and the following as the data:

    /addr=twgs.scinet-ftn.org /port=513 /user=@USER@ /pass=@USER@

    That should get you going.

    Frank,

I completed your instructions and was able to get right in no issues. Thanks!

Another Question, how did you register TW2002 .. I have several Door Games
and have no clue where to register them.

    No problem.

Some games are still being sold, like TW2002 (http://www.eisonline.com/). Sadly, most are not. Owners and companies have long since folded or abandoned their games.

John Dailey is still selling all of his door games at http://www.johndaileysoftware.com/

I like classic games like Empire and Space Empire. Even the spin off called Excaliber is a great classic!
