It's on my list. As soon as I finish up a few other games I have started. I have been playing lots of C64 and Amiga games, just because I am a sucker for punishment.

How have you been? We haven't seen you around these parts for a bit. Hope all is well.

Is this online or Knights of the Old Republic I/II? Have them both for the PC/Xbox & love them both. Got the PC version off of GOG & the others off of Ebay pretty cheap...compared to the PC CD's.

KOTOR was the first game for the Xbox that I had to play straight through, it was that damn good. I got it on a Friday afternoon and didn't stop playing it till Sunday night. Ahhh, the days without kids and responsibilities.

You may want to give it a week or so, just to see how it pans out on

Thought you might be after some of the answers I got. Many years ago...used
to do a DC superheroes online game. Made it to the 8th level & went onto
other things when I couldn't get past that level.

On the other hand...used to play that Simpson's game everyday for a year. Wasted as much time doing that as I do this now. Just got tired of not being able to get further without paying more to do so.

I recently played the C64 port of Portal (which is an awesome game BTW). I decided to go old school and copy the D64 image over to a real floppy and
load it up via my 1541 that isn't using JiffyDos.

It took 7 mins and 13 secods to load the PRG and another 42 seconds to get through the decompression and title screen. After about 30 seconds my sons complained that it had frozen and we should reboot the machine, lol. I told
him that I use to start loading a game via tape when I was a kid and I would have time for a snack and to see what was on TV before it was done loading.

Started playing it after it went free. Liked it...but the further I got...the less headway I made...so I gave up.

On the other hand...got thru Doom 2 & Diablo 2-expansion using cheat codes &
I was happy to have gotten thru it...even though I did cheat.

;) Read this & thought about all those folks in the UK & such who were on
their Spectrums. They put out a drive for those...but most folks just kept using cassettes.

Don't get me wrong...if I could've gotten a real Spectrum back in the day at the right price here in the US...probably would have & skipped over Commodore.

Which begs the question...why did they decide to write it in E? What's the benefit? That silos it in amiga-land. It'd be cool to see a 1 for 1 port in C that runs on linux IMO. Yes, even on Ubuntu Linux. hehe.

That is a great question. Who knows, short of asking the developer we could only speculate. E wasn't exactly a super popular programming language. Could
be that he wanted a challenge or it might have been the only language he knew.

PortablE supposedly has a Windows compiler for Windows targets. I do not
know enough about it to know if it is an E compiler or if PortablE is
