    Hello!

I have been looking around, searching for Literary Magazines that publish High Fantasy, or Heroic Fantasy, or whatever you want to call it. You know, the sort of thing that could as well have popped out of a Dragonlance book.

I have noticed that lots of magazines that describe themselves as Fantasy magazines are doing low fantasy, dystopias, urban fantasy... it looks like nobody wants to publish stories about barbarians with big swords defeating
    evil wizzards.

Do you know any magazine that is still doing the sort of old-school fantasy I am talking about? Maybe Deep Magic or Beneath Ceaseless skies fit the bill. Or Heroic Quarterly.

I don't know of magazines, but are familiar with the "something.... FLAME" series of books? They are old, now, but I read them in high school.

Even though I'm not a high fantasy 'fan' (never cared for the LOTR books -
just never grabbed me like sci-fi and time travel did) but these books were about a group of college kids that were 'transported' to a realm where it
was LIKE an RPG, but it was real...

I can try to find the name of the series, if you want - they were
    EXCELLENT, IMO.
