I'm good, LAZEM... I bet that going to bed might be next up for you; however, I hope you decide to continue checking out BBSes in the future. Maybe you'll even visit some in the network ads message base. w00t w00t!

    Welcome to Scinet!

Hey, how is everyone doing? It's really late here and I'm unemployed and wondering what to do next. :/

    Well, that sucks.

I got sacked around march-april, spent around 100 days unemployed. By the end of it I had 2.83 euro left in my bank account. Not extremely bad because I am a paranoid psycho and had a fuckload of supplies stashed before the covid crisis hit, and also the harvest going on full power, but still, not good.

I was supposed to receive unemployment funds (regular socialcare unemployment, not any emergency funds or anything) but they didn't arrive until I was rehired. So much use for unemployment relief when you only get it when you are working _again_.

Right now I am working full power as a sysadmin, writer and store owner, three in one. So far doing great in the first one, it seems I have future in the second one, and the third one looks promising.

My bottom point is that sometimes things go really bad until they suddenly improve. Keep an eye for oportunities, and when you see one, grab it by the neck and shake the money out of its pockets.

I know it sounds like Facebook motivational rubbish but I am no social person so that's the best I can do :-)

I disagree. You can have no job but you can do a lot of actual work.

If your house needs fixing, it won't stop falling appart just because you are unemployed. Time to use your newly found spare time and fix those rooftiles or whatever.

Harvest is also great work. It will keep you fed - at least if you have food reserves enough to resist until the harvest starts producing.

Failing that, invest the time in yourself. Pick some coding tutorials or whatever. Learn design patterns. Something.

What one must not do under any circumstance is sit on his lazy ass and watch series full time. I mean it.

I mentions all this because I don't think I would have kept sane for long during my unemployment if I hadn't done a bit of all of it. I have the chronic need to be doing something all the time; else the world falls on me like a ton of bricks.

Hahaha. I could really use some money for sure.

Time to throw more resumes at brick walls today. Hope everyone is doing
    better than I am.
