I work on Linux and OpenBSD mainly, so my recommendations come from that world.

The easiest option is Lynx, the web browser. It has Gopher capabilities integrated.

Another Option is CGO, a terminal gopher browser. It is somewhere in github. There is also a graphical version of it. I have a
copy because the dev sent it to me, but I don't know if it is hosted on the web.

The there are plugins for regular web browsers. For example, I think Firefox has the overbite plugin.

I am sending you a link. Stay tunned!

Which is funny, because half the web mess has not to do with the transport protocol (http). Or at least didn't use to until
    http2.

Let's face it, what screws the web is loads of javascript over ten thousand images over complex layouts over applications
distributed across twenty domains... Http enables coockies and request headers but those are not 20% of the mess :-)

Which is funny, because half the web mess has not to do with the
transport protocol (http). Or at least didn't use to until
    http2.

That's why I said "web" and not "HTTP". :)

I'm setting up my old spitfire BBS as a point off of my mystic box. Just need to see if mail is tossing again. No need to reply, unless you want to. :-)

I want to see your Spitfire BBS! Can you give us an address and/or phone #?
