Was FTP'ing into someone's system last week & they had tons of old BBS software...including FD 2.02. Used to run that & was the 1st time I'd
seen that in many years.
I know lots of people have various collections of bbs goods. I think someone should make an effort to try and collect all of these things into one place.
I was able to mooch the entire TBBS archive before it was taken off-line.
I have no problem setting up an FTP server where people can start toI'm happy to donate some space as well, working on sshfs connecting to my
dump old BBS stuff, just so it doesn't get lost in time if people are interested in contributing.

Errrr, I thought the 19TB I had at home was big.
Raid spares and filesystem takes up some of that so it's not really 96T usable. I lvm partition it out too, and its sitting around 80% used at this point lol :)

What I do remember was the manuals, Tims/Flame and that database engine TDBS were all in there. Yes... the manuals are vital.
I even have the installation videos the author did 8-)

This is a "really" good idea, there's a lot out there and it's hard to sift through honestly. I know Analog has a lot, and there are the fidobbs archives, I know I have a tonne of stuff myself and there definitely others.Honestly this is how I got started with the "scene"

Oh man I'd set it up just to play the Tradewars that was specific to that BBS. Someone used to run TBBS in my home town way back and it was my first taste of TW and while it's extremely simplistic compared to later versions, it has some nostalgia for me to check out again.

99% sure it was TBBS, I always remember logging in and it was referred to
as The Bread Board System and until I was a lot older I thought it had something to do with baking. Since everyone themed their BBS's I figured his was bread themed. :D

So I managed to get the lastest binkd source building for DOS last night. Hopefully it's stable enough and works better then the 0.9.8 binary I've been using for the last while.
