I saw this collection of early 90's Kmart muzak in my feed this morning
and i think it is bizarre just how many times it has been viewer and
favorited. The 1989 tape has 800k views, 380 faves, and 60 reviews.

    Click bait?

800k is minuscule in the scheme of hits on the internet. 380
faves and 60 reviews is even more miniscule.

How many of those hits are just for a few seconds of listening
    out of boredom?

This is a treasure. In High School, I worked at a Sears (pre K-Mart
merger) and the songs used to drive me absolutely crazy. Now, i want to
    FIND THEM, ha.

Yeah, I've seen some of those K-Mart Muzak tape recordings on YouTube. Some people do get nostalgic about that kind of thing. Sometimes I'm curious to listen to some of it myself..
