That doesn't surprise me in the slightest. We had everything under
the sun down here. If there was a pooter someone was importing them.
Early Ataris used to be sold through "Brashes" here, a nominal music
    and hifi store.

To go with that we had all sorts of user groups kicking around too..

And you had the amazing Tony Barker! He did all kinds of Atari related
stuff including the huge "Tina" demo for the Atari Falcon 030 that
actually was used in a commercial in Australia. Hat's off, I say! :)

Don't think I've ever actually seen the Tina demo... that, or I just
didn't know that was what it was called.

Then again, I can't say I was a huge demo dude.

Oh man, you have to watch it sometime. Sure, it's antiquated now but for
it's time it was amazing. I was blown away the first time I watched it.
Not a big Tina Turner fan (except for "We don't need another hero" from
Beyond Thunderdome) but this was just way cool.

Now me...I am a huge Euro-demo fan - Love zen'ing out to them while
relaxing in my man-cave chair. Good Stuff! :)

The Tina demo was actually used in a commercial in Australia, btw. Here's
    a small blurb:

"The famous (and fabulous) Tina Demo! Tony Barker wrote this huge and IMPRESSIVE Falcon030 demo for a television commercial that was broadcast
in Australia. This demo really shows off what the Falcon030 is capable of doing! The phrase "simply the best" certainly describes this demo!"

Never heard of the Tina demo, but then always felt demos were a waste of time and space. I'm having a watch now.... ahhh sure it might have been impressive for the time...but its not doing anything for me :P I s'pose I was
exptecting a bit more in the sound dept.

I love demos. Marvelous eye-candy and a sonic massage for the ears. :)

Yes, it doesn't look as good today but back then, it really was something
    else.

Oh, you really need to watch some of the newer Falcon demo's - impressive stuff, IMHO.

Have you ran that demo? If you haven't, try it out sometime. What they
managed to pack onto one floppy drive, and running from an unaccelerated

As far as what P.Pera would say - who knows? :)
