• Missing messages on Hub 3

From Alterego@21:2/116 to Avon on Wed Jan 1 11:01:40 2020
I think we are loosing messages - Oli alerted me to some discrepancies that he is seeing via Hub 1 and Hub 3.

With that, I've done a comparision of what is on Hub 3, with what I have at 2/116 (thereby possibly including Hub 2 as an issue) - this is what I see.

Using the "stats" message as a base:
    Sender fsxNet HUB

Since receving this message from Hub 1 - on 2/116, I see 9 additional messages posted in FSX_MYS:

So the question is, why wasnt 2a05b891 sent to Hub 3? I'll reply from Hub 3, if

So if I understand this correctly, it was created in NET 2 by a NET 2 node,
and sent from 2/100 on to your 2/xxx address but seemingly not sent to 3/100 via 1/100?

I'll check to see if I can find the message here at 1/100 and also look at 2/100

Can you post the message body copy also so I can cross reference please.

Let me know if I have misunderstood anything.

Actually, I thought Hub 2 was sending directly to the other Hubs 1/3/4 - but yes, it didnt do that, nor did I receive it from another hub.

With all the trouble I've been having with the little things which ha
bit me...may just do a readme or something like it for noobs to cover all their bases.
You might be the perfect person to write that, from your experiences. :)

May attempt to get it going at the end of the week. This one is my long week with next week my short one.

I had a bunch of bad packets, and some packets lots in a deep directory which I
forced them to be tossed - a side affect of the Hub 2 configuration with Hub 3.

    Hopefully should be good now...

I can see the packet arrive at 1/100 and in the SEEN-BY there 3/100 appears
so 1/100 would not have tossed it onwards to you. I expect (but have not checked) the same to be the case for 4/100

So yeah, looks like packets were being sent by 2/100 to 3/100 in this
    instance.

    [time passes]

For the benefit of those following along Deon and I nutted out that a rule at 3/100 was ensuring those 2/100 packets were not being tossed at 3/100 but he has changed things now.

But we also opted to remove 2/100 from feeding 3/100 for now so all packets
to 3/100 will come to it via 1/100 or 4/100 at this time.

Netmail sent from NET 2 for NET 3 will be routed via NET 1 then sent onwards
    :)

    Best, Paul
