    Hello Avon,

    I just got a comment from a point I have here and he had this to say..

    === Cut ===
    FSXnet seems like a very dynamic "connected" network. It needs more
    topical conversational-style echos IMHO though.

    This is something that I have thought also, though I think I feel the same trepidation that you do.

    I am about to reply to him and give him some food for thought and suggest that he should take that up with you.

    This is just a heads up in case he does that.. :)

    I'm also interested in what others think about this and what they might have to

    say.

    I agree with your point. Most echos are meta (about BBS / FTN) and there is only one non-technical echo (FSX_GEN) that is full of meta conversations too. They are fun and important, but this is not and never was the most important part of BBSing (IMHO).

    I wonder which topical conversational-style echos are missing? (btw, is it echos or echoes?)

    And let's not forget that FTNs are in its core decentralized. Getting the approval of the benevolent dictator for a new echo is helpful, but not the only

    way to start one.

    That I'm not sure.

    I have always use "echoes" but I'm not sure which is correct.
