I created a side-by-side Synchronet BBS instance for the same reason myself.

I feel that I have the best of both worlds. I run a Winserver system that allows me to post
using the browser, and a Mystic system which has a much better networking system built
in. Because I carry the same feeds on both systems, I can easily post on Winserver and
send it out to my downlinks using the Mystic as my hub.
I would love to see a browser add-in for Mystic, but for now I am content
to be able to do
it this way.

All my message bases are in JAM format in a central location, brought in using binkd, tossed by Husky.
That way I can hook up different BBS software to the same message bases.
For reading/writing messages I can use any of the BBS software (EleBBS, Synchronet, Mystic) or use Golded.
If I fancy using a browser, I use WebJAM which works really well, even on multiple FTN's.
