Hey all,

I'm being super lazy here... but afaik all the old classics like LORD and Tradewars are all DOS based and require a FOSSIL driver and/or run in DOS, or use dosbox. How do you all run LORD etc on a modern Linux based Mystic system?

Just be super lazy and use BBSLink instead! ;) I actually got LORD running with DOSEMU.. however when I would exit the game it would hang my session and not bring me back to the BBS. I quit fooling with it at that time for now.

Thanks Zy, BBSLink is the exact method I wanted, however I filled in the application form some time ago and the fella there never got back in touch
with me. I've filled in the form again, hopefully I'll hear back

I use BBSLink & Doorparty as well. Makes it easy to add a bunch of games and it has the added benefit of actually getting to play with other users.

an instance on the box and not use a door server... so will be digging back
to try and find some helpful posts from times past :)

If you dont want to setup your own door games - I have a door game server setup, for which you can use echickens door party connector to get into it.

I havent spent much time on it, but my idea was to offer access to the InterBBS games that networks run for those who dont want to run and manage their own door games.

Since its fairly new, I dont have many door games on there (40 or so?), but it is running GD from FSX. I have BRE/Falcons Eye on another network (and my BRE was registered from 1995, but not Falcon's Eye). I was going to research and find more door games...

Its been on my plan to get the other FSX InterBBS games loaded on there too - but I've been distracted by other things. If there was some interest, I could redirect my focus. :)

My door server is Synchronet on Windows (in a VM)

You know what to do - jump on arcad1a and check out alphas setup. CFG should be the same and its nix, so... same same. :P
