    Hello,

I'm getting my Magicka setup fired up again. What is the best way to do
some message base packing? Failing that can I just delete the jam files and let magitoss re create them?

You only need to pack them if you delete messages, and currently the
only way to delete messages is via 3rd party utils or via magimail if
you limit the number of messages per base.

I think it's magimaint pack or something like that, I've never actually
done it :P I think Blue White does this or maybe it was vorlon?

You can just delete the JAM files, but of course you will lose all the messages. Ages ago, I renamed the JAM files and set the renamed JAM base
as read only so people could still read the old messages, but to post
they'd have to do it in the "new" area.

I have a feeling deleting messages will mess up the message flagging
feature, it's something I've been meaning to look at but haven't yet. I
don't think anyone uses it, so I may just remove the feature all
    together.

Add these to the message area's, and then it's a simple as running

    KEEPNUM 200
    KEEPDAYS 30

    magimaint pack

Okay, I need to limit them in the bot area as the wall and such takes
    too long to load.

    GOod enough. ;)

I've never used that feature anyway. :)
