    Hello Apam,

For some reason I can't figure out, I can only access 43 of 46 messages
in my netmail area. Looking at my netmail area in golded message 44 is a netmail from a node in z2 to me, looks like any other the same as 45 and
    46.

I don't know why that is. I'll send you that netmail base in a few
    minutes.

    Ttyl :-),
    Al

JamLib is reporting "No Message" for them, which indicates they have
been deleted. JamLib gets this from the index file if a message has been scrubbed out, I don't know how golded works, but I guess it just reads
the header file directly. My guess is if you packed the message base
    those messages would disappear entirely.

As for why they are deleted, I have no idea - perhaps the index file is corrupted?

I may have deleted a few areafix replies or something and not packed the
area. I just did "sqpack fido_net" and now I can read all the messages in
    there without any problem.

I don't know how Golded works internally. It sounds like a normal Golded behaviour to me: a message that has been deleted is still in the message list, but cannot be viewed anymore. If you try it will skip to the next message (which is not deleted).

base those messages would disappear entirely.

Yes, this is what happens when I pack a JAM base with crashmail.

Ah ok, I see the problem now, the messages deleted were just before the
ones you couldn't see. I've fixed that bug now, and should work just
    fine when not packed.

    Thanks,
    Andrew
