• Configuring synchronet BBS with fsxNet Usenet groups

From Errol Casey@21:1/182 to All on Tue Jul 9 18:07:18 2024
I'm working on configuring my bbs which uses synchronet, to receive
    usenet groups from fsxNet.

Avon has configured my access. I can commuicate with areafix and add/remove groups.

I just cannot seem to get the message area/sub-boards/echolist all configured, correctly :-(

Would love some assistance. Maybe sample sbbsecho.ini examples, etc.
to be able to pull in the usenet groups.

    TIA

Just to add to this, if there's a newsgroup say misc.test and it's sent with an echomail tag of MISC.TEST then what was happening was Errol's system would reply but use an echomail tag like MISCTEST ... so not the correct echomail tag... so it's just showing him how to ensure his system sends the correct echomail tags back... as I'm not a Synchronet sysop I'm not much help I'm sorry.

Thanks! I was not sure how to offer help but this points me in the right direction. I have now responded to his crossposted query in one of the synchronet support echos.
