• MSGID problem

From Nick Andre@1:229/426 to All on Mon May 30 17:48:34 2022

Am thinking out loud, that the Z1DAILY echo has had daily activity for at
least 3 years now. Could it be possible that some systems are not receiving
the daily robot-post over duplicate MSGID's?

It is not possible at the moment for me to write a custom report to check my local message base for duplicates... but it can be done.

I found two MSGID dupes in my message base, but not recent ones:

The report for the 26th is missing on my system, but that one just didn't arrive here. The ones that do arrive here do so via multiple paths:

    P@TH: 229/426 153/757
    P@TH: 229/426 292/854

So if the report for the 26th was generated and went out the door, it was detected as a dupe, and not sent on, on both of those two systems. If you have it can you give me the MSGID for the report for the 26th, then I can check my message base.

    Bye, Wilfred.

    Wilfred,

So if the report for the 26th was generated and went out the door, ...

    Probably it wasn't ...

It didn't arrive here and D'Bridge disregards MSGID as a means of dupe-detection ... so it couldn't have been thrown out here based on MSGID.

I only go back to 2020 and there's no report of any duplicates here, so
it'd have to be someone upstream from me. I only know of Mark Lewis and
I think he's connected directly to you.
