• Zone 4 segment

From Nick Andre@1:229/426 to All on Thu Jun 10 05:16:01 2021
    FYI everyone,

The last zone-level segment received from Manuel Adorni has errors in it... I will be reverting back to the last-known-good segment 155 until this is resolved by him.

ZC4 at least... appears to be some active nodes.

That's good. Better than some of the nets in Z1.

    Everyone,

This problem still continues and I had to revert back to Z4 segment 155.

Is it really that hard to set up a segment? :D

Heck, I did it in notepad off a floppy for Z6. I was at sea a lot so couldn't automate well. Trying to sync a Sasebo desktop while at sea for months was much too hard with the laptop. No IP or phone to the laptop when at sea.

Never dropped a segment, node or region unless it was a deliberate removal.

Ah well, he might have codepage issues of some sort, tripping Makenl?

It is somewhat frustrating dealing with this, but not the end of the world.

Yup. I recall Ward was a little frustrated that I didn't hatch out Z6 in the ZSEGS (I think that was the name). I couldn't. Logistics. I had to be able to send them out when at sea and inport and no way to synch the 2. What I did was make damn sure I had emailed the most current to my shipboard address with any changes to take to my laptop in berthing and update, then floppy copy to ship system and email to her to hatch.

I did it only if there were changes so that simplified life. Had I automated the home system, it would over write the changes and I was out 9 months of the year with no way to update the home system until I got back. (shipboard security setups and I was the ISSM).
