From Sean Dennis@1:18/200 to All on Tue Mar 31 19:29:12 2020
    Hi everyone.

On Monday, March 23, I nearly died from a blood clot that was blocking blood from getting to my lungs. Evidently I have a rather large blood clot in my right leg--you know, the leg that has a severely broken right foot and I
can't move much--that had a piece of that clot break off and get lodged in
the main artery that feeds my lungs.

That morning, I woke up with a severe pain in my right lower thigh. I got
up and tried to make it into my parents' house. I wound up passing out five times before I barely made it in. One of those times, I fell quite hard and landed face down in a cement drainage ditch on the side of my parents'
carport. That impact was evidently what saved my life by forcing the
secondary clot into my right lung.

I now have 12 clots in my right lung and one big one in my artery in my
right thigh. I am on blood thinner to help get rid of these clots. Unfortunately, with the current global pandemic, my much-needed
surgery--which was declared "elective" by someone who doesn't care--was postponed to an indefinite date.

I am doing okay right now and am under medical care. Just taking things
    easy.

My system ran just fine (thankfully) while I was gone. I guess all those
years of trial and error finally paid off with the BBS.

    Later,
    Sean

P.S. On an acerbic note, all those Fidonetters in the past that wished me
dead almost got their wish granted. XD

Sean, absolutely insane!!!! I think about making a joke just to make you feel a bit better, but somehow that does not work either. I take it the blood thinners the docs are using can only do so much... I hope all goes well for you!

    Take care,
    Janis

Thanks, Janis. It was a shock to me to learn what happened when I was in
the emergency room. It made sense afterwards to me because of the symptoms
I was having. It was absolutely terrifying. Just imagine not being able to catch your breath and you're on the verge of passing out, trying to make
sense of what you're trying to think. All jokes aside, I'd not wish this on anyone. It's horrific.

The blood thinner seems to be doing its job. I am taking it religiously and not moving around too much. Next week I can do more within limits.

Of course, my much-needed surgery has been indefinitely postponed. I'm applying for SSDI and am trying to get this issue service-connected due to
the VA's constantly screwing up with things (a service disability rating).

I just want to be able to walk and work. It's depressing to be out of work five months and have to turn down job offer after job offer.

    Hello All,

I will be going in for open heart surgery (triple bypass) within the next few days. My system is on autopilot but Andrew Leary has full access to it if something breaks.

I had my last six teeth and nine sets of tooth roots removed today. In pain but glad it is done.

I'm not personally worried. I know you're gonna kick this surgery right in the crotch. I mean...you did just have a whole bunch of dental work done, and that was...nothing, right? (o_-)

You got this, man. Don't stress.
