i read on https://www.synchro.net/docs/smb.html where there is a way to embed images, sound, animation, and video, but is there a tutorial or instructions anywhere that explains how to implement this?

I see what you were speaking about, the documentation was speaking of email attachments, not embedded multimedia.. thats just not possible :(

It was aspirational, back when was I first defining the Synchronet Message Base (SMB) format (1992, I think).

We do support attachments to email/netmail messages as either external files or MIME-encoded/embedded, but not as specifically-embedded SMB message data as was proposed in the SMB specification.

Complete multimedia support is reached in this implementation level with support for embedded and attached animation, sound, and video data.

Ill back out and let someone who knows more than I do about it answer, are you speaking of embedding multimedia then it being decoded on every client on a message network, or what, mabe its possible, I've never seen it used, it reads as if it can be though, but I dont know if it means messages being transported from one external program to the next using the smb as the data transport method.

I do know there are far too many different clients being used to embed multimeda straight to messages and expect them to be shown in those messages straight up..
