Defaults to pm when you enter the minutes. The original doesn't display am/pm but from the looks of it, it'll use the 24 hour clock?

I'm not sure what you mean by "the original", but this is how date/time input into Synchronet has always worked.

I'm guessing that you have your system configured for 24 hour clock and that's what's confusing?

The new-scan date/time entry has been reworked, so there is no longer a separate "pm?"/"am?" question:

    - On a 12-hour-clock system the Hour field now shows its am/pm, e.g. `1 pm`. Type `1 am`, `1am`, `1a`, `1 pm`, `1p`, etc., or a 24-hour value of 0 or 13-23 (21736a5bde (poor-4-aging, 2026-09-29)).
    - A bare hour of 1-12 is ambiguous there, so it is rejected: the bell sounds and the field is re-filled in place with that hour and the original time's am/pm (e.g. typing `3` gives `3 pm`), which you can accept with Enter or change (778acdf7ae (pray-3-serious, 2026-09-29), 3b827c985c (faces-3-bear, 2026-09-29)).
    - 24-hour-clock systems are unchanged (hours 0-23).
    - Displayed dates and times (and am/pm) now also follow the user's language translations (86ff63dd97 (host-4-plugin, 2026-09-29)).

This applies wherever a new-scan date/time is entered: message and file new-scan pointers (including the QWK menu's P), and the file new-scan date.
