My database shows 309 Synchronets and 219 Mystics.
You probably have the most accurate database I've ever seen.
So, I'm wrong it's not double but still close to 50% more...that's not
insignificant.

whenever i see a new bbs or one i havent heard of, it's a mystic one.
if there ARE more more synchronet bbses, these might be a holdout from the old days when someone would just install a synchronet bbs and let it rot.
Dragon probably has an accurate answer to that with the IPTIA database- a cursory look at the Synchronet BBS list shows 20+ new ones since the beggining of the year - the vast majority of those on the list are 3.18 or higher. If they were setup and letting them rot, I'd expect them not to keep up with the latest version.
Reguardless, good for their little poll, I just don't agree with it objectively :)
