That error does not indicate a problem with http.js, but rather a problem with the address or port specified. The current http.js in git has more detail in that error message (includes the address and port number attempted to connect to), so it does in fact appear you're not using the latest and greatest. Not sure if that'll make any difference in your case however. --

Sounds good to me it's worth a try, what is the best way for me to get
the newer version?
