  • Install OS/2 under VMware

    I tried to install OS/2 4 under VMware ESXi 6 the other day. I did not want to
    boot from any boot floppy image I have or the ISO file I also have. Anyone know if there is a way to make it happen?

    VMWare Workstation not so long time ago.

    Which "OS/2 4" were you using?

    I've been able to create a working VM with Warp 4.52 using Virtualbox under Slackware Linux also. All I did was boot the machine initially using an ISO and went from there.

    It works better under VMWare Workstation IMO. But, it works even better under Oracle VirtualBox since it even has an OS/2 additions folder available in the guest additions CD image.

    That's what I did to get this VM running :) Just under Windows 10 Pro :)

    I think there is a port of VirtualBox for OS/2 now, or at least it is being worked on.
