• burn notice

From August Abolins@2:221/360 to All on Sun May 31 18:53:13 2020
I recently discovered a tv series originally from 2007, called Burn Notice.

It's kind of like a mix of Bourne Report, Mememto, Miami Vice, McGyver.

    It's good fun.

I think I've seen burn notice. If I reall, I enjoyed it. I'll have to look
it up. I'm still trying to get through Ozark season 3, but keep getting distracted with beautiful weather or BBS'ing at night .. and now the news.
So .. I'm looking forward to a rainy day to catch up on a few shows.

    Jimmy,

Tomorrow I'll look it up again, as there are a few others similar that come to mine I know you'd probably like or have seen. Honestly, I
stayed up all night watching the riots .. not intentionally .. it was
like when my wife and I rented Hostile ... not having read the synopsis ... our jaw was on the floor the entire movie. That was me last night.

wow - I didn't know what it was about either, when I took my teen-age sons
to see it... I thought it was "just another horror movie" - boy was I
    wrong!

Right? I thought my wife had rented some border line porn movie at the beginning .. we were both a bit confused as to what she picked out .. then
... you know the rest. I'm not sure I could watch that again. Another, I'll likely spell wrong, was Requium For A Dream. That movie was just disturbing.

It is a smart production. The lead char (the burned agent) although very intelligent, almost superhuman and can think wisely on the spot, is still depicted with vulnerabilities.

I remember the show now ... I did enjoy it. I think there was a hot lady in every episode too? Every time I mean to re-check it out .. I get distracted with these riots all over the news ... so my TV has been off. My current favorite shows are:

    1. Yellowstone
    2. Ozark
    3. Better call Sal (got the name right this time)
    4. The Walking Dead
    5. Can't remember the rest at the moment but those are the top 4 to come to mind.

You've got green thumb written all over you. Like the lighted finger on the alien in E.T., you are driven to the gardens as your "home".

Ha! It's art for me, and relaxing. I seldom put more then a simple sketch together prior to building something. I love making back yards a retreat and until mines there .... (meaning I can mow in my boxers without my neighbors seeing me,) I have work to do.

Me, I'm settled in a valley with farmland all around me. Would love to have some of the overgrown stuff taken care of (I spent $2500 to remove some dangerous trees a few years ago) ..but now there are no resources for any of that. So.. movies are my "forget life" option.

NOTHING wrong with that. If I owned more land then I do, at 48 (until the
12th of this month) I don't think I could manage more .. sure, mowing, but
not the type of work I enjoy doing. Growing up in Colorado probably had a
lot to do with it. Having the mountains as our view out a window, just like
an ocean for others, has a zen like feel to it. But when it comes to big trees, I don't like heights. But I have connections from having been in the business to keep the price way down. As for resources, I acquired a lot of free material over 7 years of owning a landscape company, so I do a lot of repurposing. Tools can create wonderful things with even what others
consider junk. However, I have also thrown away a lot of junk my team would drop off at my house, seemingly thinking I'd b able to use.

I think it's seven seasons total? Can't remember for sure - but it's VERY
good, IMO. My wife and I recently watched through it again...

We've started the latest season of Flash, now that's it is on Netflix...
