    I've seen vid's were kids were asked how to use one. Very few had any
    idea. They would push the dial, etc. It never seemed to occur to them to turn the dial.

    I'm going to have to give up singing. :P

    In a word, "wow". It reminds me of the meme, where these 2 small
    cellphones (with legs) enter a room, and here's a large black rotary phone...and the cellphones exclaim "Grandma!!" <G>.
