Hey, you're getting at this. :)

Must be my eagle eye for typos.... (didn't you leave out the word 'good'
    there...?)

    Boy, I'm really slipping...
    Good catch.
I write a lot of personal e-mails each week and often times it a basic
one and then copy and paste, add/delete parts for the others.
I'll edit the first one and seem ok with spelling and grammar, but then
the next time just looking it over a typo or mistake (like above) will jump
    out at me.
In the past I've had to write reports and such and would re-read and
edit, then sit it aside (when possible) for a day so its cold (or not as warm) and re-read only to find some error I missed.

I don't think your job as Moderator is in danger. <G>

Some folks have no idea how to cut and paste...unless they think it's
with scissors, paper, and glue. :P

You need a second set of eyes. I screwed up in my first attempt at
Desktop Publishing, but I knew it'd happen eventually.

With echo messages, often some of my typos only jump out at me when I
see it quoted back at me... and here I thought I'd caught them all on
    the fly... ;)

In the past I've had to write reports and such and would re-read and

I did the same when I was writing minutes for a council I was secretary
for... I'd get the first draft written up right after the meeting from
my notes, and hope it was sufficient... but then would wait a week or
two and then revisit... always caught typos and sentences that needed to
be somewhat better structured.... This group only met once a year, so I
could set it aside for more than just a day... :)
