    Aaron...

I get you (Daryl) and Sean Dennis mixed up for some reason!

Well, we both are BBS Sysops, and amateur radio operators. :)

One of you is the same political party as me, and the other one appreciates a good diabetes joke. Or do I have that mixed up? :)

As Roger Rabbit noted, "if you don't have a sense of humor, you're
better off dead". And, if you can't laugh at yourself, you really have problems.

As for the politics, none of them is worth the powder to blow them
up, and it's a waste of good gunpowder. Besides, a group of baboons
is known as a CONGRESS...'nuff said.

    Hello, Aaron!

Replying to a message of Aaron Thomas to Daryl Stout:

Ok then, I'm 50% sure that I've got you guys figured out now :)

I'm KS4TD and Daryl is WX4QZ. We are both of the same mind politically though I am more verbose about my thoughts in that area. Daryl and I met in 2004 in person; I was helping my parents move cross-country and in the heat of the summer, the A/C broke down on my U-Haul. My dad, who was with me, and I stopped in Little Rock overnight to get the A/C fixed. I called Daryl and we met up with Daryl and his wife for dinner.

Daryl runs The Thunderbolt BBS and I run Outpost BBS.

I think Daryl and I have known each other for about 20 years now...?

    Later,

    Aaron,

Ok then, I'm 50% sure that I've got you guys figured out now :)

It reminds me of the joke where this guy lived in California,
but many times, his job required him to fly to Hawaii...and he
HATED flying. So, in his quiet time with The Lord, he asked Him
if he could build a bridge from the mainland to Hawaii.

The Lord replied "It's not that I can't do it, as nothing is too
hard for Me. But, isn't there something else you might want??".

The man thought a minute, and said "I want to be able to completely
    and totally understand women".

The Lord replied "How soon do you want that bridge??" <G>.

At least I'm good for something.

Speaking of crazy things...after calling my insurance company to report
a chip and crack in my windshield, I filed a claim. I'll have to pay a
$100 deductible, but when I was out there today, apparently the cost of
self pay, can be nearly $700, if not more.

Well, I first went out to Safelite on Monday, March 1, and they said they would have to replace the windshield, as the crack was too large. So, they
set me up for Friday, March 5 (today).

There was only one problem...they scheduled it for MEMPHIS and NOT for LITTLE ROCK.

They did NOT discover it until today, until I had gotten there...hence,
a wasted trip. So, they have rescheduled it for next Saturday, March 13...
and as "compensation", they'll install 2 new wiper blades for no charge.

This was the third time this week that had happened...and no one knows
why their software is acting up.

With all I've spent on the vehicles in the last few weeks, it's like I
bought a new car. But, it takes 8 to 10 weeks for the State Of Arkansas
to produce a "Title" after one pays the sales tax (I had to pay $729; at
least 7%, if not more), and gets the license tags. I have to wonder if
there's only 1 person doing the work for 75 counties.

With the exchange of the 2009 Volvo 2 door hardtop convertible (due to
a parts shortage, and it had been nearly 3 weeks since I had taken it
back to the dealership (a family owned business the last 35 years, who
deals only with pre-owned vehicles), they exchanged it for a 2013 Chevy Cruze...which is much nicer, and much larger...not to mention cheaper on insurance.

Yet, with purchasing vehicles, you only have 30 days to get the car tags.
I had paid the sales tax and purchased the tags for the Volvo 2 days before
I took it in for service. The Cruze was the same price as the Volvo, but I
will still have to pay a $50 exchange fee (I'm sure the state would prefer another $729 sales tax fee).

So, I have to go back to the dealership before March 11, to get a new temporary tag. With my luck, I'd get pulled over and ticketed for driving
on expired temporary tags...I see these all the time.
