when I retire, but I'll be traveling on a train or something instead!

I would love to just take my time and explore until I cannot do it
anymore (which could be at any time).

In May/June 2019 I took a nice long vacation, six weeks.
I traveled all over the country visiting old friends, seeing old and new place.
I went from WV to the DC area, up to see a friend in PA (who soon after developed brain cancer).
Over to NYC for several days (staying with a friend), up to Syracuse,
then to Rochester were I met Jim White (former mod) and Nancy Backus, who was in Memories longer than I can remember. She died not long ago.
Over to Erie, PA to visit an old friend (who has since died). Then to
see friends in MI, down to Hannibal, MO, over to Denver to visit an old
    friend.
I lived in Colorado Springs and Trinidad, CO and spent a few days there.
Down to Carlsbad Caverns, over to Del Rio, TX (when I slipped into
Mexico and stopped and questioned by Mexican authorities coming back into this country).
Then visiting a friend in LA, up to see Daryl, on to IND to visit with
Ed Vance who stops by here once in a while, then home.
And I did what I always wanted to do, stop and go as I pleased. No (or
few) time limits of being to be somewhere at a certain time. I didn't
mention many of the other places I visited. That would take a lot of bandwidth.
I dislike interstates with a passion and avoided them as much as
possible. I prefer the old two lane roads. You see more of the country, etc.
Would I do it again? In a heart beat!
