That's correct. Access can be shared by either being invited (added) to the group or by being given the link. Same results.
That's what I thought and I think that is good and secure.
Since they are private groups you can't just join them or search them, so actually more secure than the echo side.
Excellent. I think some might be afraid of spam posts that seem to get in from time to time. I don't see that happening with telegram.
Most (not all) of the BBSes I've seen allow anyone to access message areas, including the admin echoes.
I have been guilty of this myself in times passed. I imported a backbone.na and started tossing without thinking of access requirements. A guest user can read what I have here but not post, and admin areas can only be seen by myself.. :)
I have a robots.txt that disallows access to /msgs/ so stuff from here shouldn't be showing up in search results. Honourable bots anyway.
