That's a good confirmation reply! Does your system have rot13 built-in?

    Bis denne ...

I had never heard of ROT13 until I got back into BBSes in May 2020. It's a neat concept of scrambling or obfuscating information, more akin to passing a note in class & hiding the information from teacher than actual encryption, but a neat concept just the same.

P.S: Is "Bis denne" German for "Until then"? Or was this a ROT13 mixup?

    I really like Winpoint's built-in rot thirteen feature. That's
handy for echos where one may like to post a spoiler, a contest
clue or a punchline. It's nice not to have to rely on an
internet connection just to decode a string at rot13.com.

I didn't realize until now that it was used by Julius Caesar in
    the 1st century BC.

I use the tin newsreader for reading echoes and using % will unrotate so yes,
I could read your original messages. Check! :)

I will get around to it some day. I know there's several caches around and about. Any recommendations on good and (if possible free) geocaching apps for Android?

It uses ROT13 for encryption of hints and such, so you don't accidently
see something until you're ready. :-)

I use iPhone. App was free, then paid, then you had to have a sub
to use all features. So now, since we aren't active I'm no paying
for it, I just use the web browser on the phone as it gives me all
    the info...
