3.4.11 DailyBundles

Syntax:
dailyBundles <bool>
Example:
dailyBundles

If DailyBundles is off, hpt will use existing arcmail bundles to add packets for this link, even if they were created in the previous days. If DailyBundles is set, a new arcmail bundle for the link will be started when the new day begins.

This statement can only be repeated for different links.

other than ?ut and ?lo files in BSO, filenames of FTN packets and bundles don't really matter, TBH... better would be to check where that tu0 file is/was queued to send and where it was sent...

does the tosser log say which flo file the tu0 was added to?
is it listed in /fido/mailer/out.26a/012c0032.?lo where the "?" is one of c, d, f, h, or i?
if it is not in that file, then it was routed/queued/sent to another system address...

the only other thing that would be better/easier would be to stop archiving packets for sending over today's media... data is automatically compressed as needed for transmission these days so archiving files like FTN packets is doing extra wasted work where it is not needed...

More than likely, you originally created that bundle on a Tuesday, and it hasn't been sent yet. So hpt will keep adding packets to that same bundle until the specified bundle size limit is met. Once that happens, a new bundle will be created with an extension for the day it was created, not the day it currently is if it never gets sent out.

So, sounds more like a mailer/connection problem, instead.

Yes. Go into your links file or section, find the entry for that node and, under that entry, change:

packer zip

to

packer none

As a previous poster suggested, I would make sure that this directive is present for that node first, though, before going to uncompressed:

dailyBundles on

Main thing I would do, once I was sure that husky was creating the bundles or packets, is to check my binkd logs to verify that the connections are working correctly and are ending with rc=0 instead of some error.

If you are not using compressed packets, you don't need any of them.

Hmmm, I have not run into that issue. Best as I can tell, if husky/hpt is worrking properly, the area/filefix requests don't show up in netmail (or they are addressed to a user whose messages I don't see). Do they include an error message in the text?

no its strange I just see the netmail to filefix and the downling complained about no response so not sure whats happening
