So I could have akas 1:221/360 and 3:221/360 as well as 2:221/360.
:)
Now *that's* clever.
Why should anyone move to any other zone? There are no overlapping
networks anymore, so anyone might use any zone 1,2,3,4 or even 6...

Routed netmail would have a 33.33% chance of success, of course. Maybe
we would need to re-constitute zoneGates... certainly the increase in traffic could please some mail flow staticians. Etcetera, etcetera... etcetera(channeling Yul Brunner). :)

Wouldn't the given net number need to appear in each zone's internal routing tables?
Then again if we do away with zone numbers that might fuck that up....

Yes. As Ward Dossche intimated, we'd have to have AKAs in all available zones. I like the idea of tripling the size of the nodelist but that's
a cheap shot.

Fuck yeah! From your name, I'd have to pick you as a Zone 2-er, writing from a Scotish manorhouse. ;)

What a pity my passport has expired and I'm too tight to renew it without
having an actual trip planned.
Is that a requirement? No passport until you have a trip planned ?
