    Now *that's* clever.

Routed netmail would have a 33.33% chance of success, of course. Maybe we would need to re-constitute zoneGates... certainly the increase in traffic could please some mail flow staticians. Etcetera, etcetera... etcetera(channeling Yul Brunner). :)

    Cheers,
    Paul.

It does sound that way... but how would I route/deliver a netmail to a node in a non-nodelisted net?

Wouldn't the given net number need to appear in each zone's internal routing tables?

Then again if we do away with zone numbers that might fuck that up....

Yes. As Ward Dossche intimated, we'd have to have AKAs in all available zones. I like the idea of tripling the size of the nodelist but that's a cheap shot.

Fuck yeah! From your name, I'd have to pick you as a Zone 2-er, writing from a Scotish manorhouse. ;)

    Cheers,
    Paul.

When in fact we both know that I'm an estranged Kiwi writing from a tin shed in the Aussie bush (when I'm here that is, and not touring somewhere else, then I'm writing from a camper)...

From time to time I have thought of going to Scotland and claiming land rights on Drummond Castle in Perthshire (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drummond_Castle).

It looks a lot greener there than here and I bet it's not 37C all the bloody time either.

What a pity my passport has expired and I'm too tight to renew it without having an actual trip planned.

It's also cheaper to drive to Perth Western Australia than fly to Perthshire in Scotland.

Is that a requirement? No passport until you have a trip planned ?

Yes, a personal requirement - passports expire even when not used.

Last time I renewed it on the off chance I might take a trip to Britain. I didn't end up going, nor anywhere else thus wasting the fees.
