    Ballots Rejected/Reason
    -----------------------

Ozz Nixon - Not an RC/eligible voter
RC57 - Received after polls closed

Of the 32 eligible voters, 17 cast ballots during the voting period.
2 ballots were rejected, 1 because the submitter was not an eligible
voter, and the other because it was received after the polls closed.
    14 RCs did not vote.

All candidates received more Yes votes than No votes and therefore
are accepted into the FTSC. Their terms expire on 10 March 2021.

    Andrew
    FTSC Election Coordinator

    -----------------------------------------------------------------
    Why R28 did not vote
By Michiel van der Vlist, 2:280/5555 AKA 2:28/0

The sysops of Region 28 decided that RC28 would not cast a vote in
the last election for FTSC membership. In the 2016 election a vote
was cast with " abstain" for all candidates. That did not make much
of a dent. So this time a stronger signal was attempted.

The election is a farce! Ever since I was involved with the FTSC,
first as standing member and later as administrator, all nominees
who's name was not Bj”rn Felten have been elected.

No matter how incompetent, no matter how inactive, no matter how
ignorant and last but not least, no matter how much of an asshole,
all except Bj”rn Felten, they were all elected.

We have seen sysops unable to post from their own system getting
elected. We have seen *Cs that were unable to produce an
FTS-5000/5001 complient nodelist segment getting elected. We have
seen sysops that remain dormant and only come out of the woordwork
at election time getting elected. We have seen sysops that have
never contributed one line of documentation but who only produce
noise get elected and got re-elected for decades. More than half
of the elected members are just seat warmers. They have contributed
    absolutely nothing.

The election is an exercise in futility. R28 decided it no longer
wants to play this silly game.

    Michiel van der Vlist
    RC28

PM Prospective Member. The node has demonstrated IPv6
capability but is not listed or does not advertise an
IPv6 address in the Fidonet nodelist yet.
    *1 IPv6 address: 2001:41d0:303:69c6:f1d0:2:400:2992

    Notes:
To make an IPv6 connection to a node connected via 6to4 tunneling
one may have to force the mailer into IPv6 (-6 option in binkd's
node config for binkd up to 1.1a-96, -64 option for binkd 1.1a-97
and up). If the destination address is a 6to4 tunnel address
(2002::/16) many OSs default to IPv4 if an IPv4 address is present.
