Note the "BS" at the end of your URL. The entire article is just one long appeal to authority. (That's a logical fallacy, by the way.)
"India was named as the world's most dangerous country for women in a survey
of global experts." Not a scientific study, just an amalgamation of opinions
of unnamed "global experts".
The US entry reads in part: "The survey came after the #MeToo campaign went
viral last year, with thousands of women using the social media movement to
share stories of sexual harassment or abuse."
In other words, the opinions of these anonymous "experts" were strongly influenced in the immediate aftermath of a tweetstorm of unsubstantiated claims coming out of the US.

I'm willing to believe data -- crime statistics, police reports, you know, hard evidence. I'm not inclined to believe the opinions of a bunch of folks who spend too much time on Twitter just 'cause someone called them "global experts".
and May 4. This survey is conducted every few years, and is

Irrelevant.
No matter how well conducted, or how sound the methodology, it is
still just a survey of "experts" opinions, so the most it can claim is to be
an accurate reflection of somebody's opinions, not of reality.
