Fact is, very few people even know what a troll is.
And even fewer have actually seen a real, live one.
Except a few folks in Scandinavia, who run across
those mythical creatures from time to time.

If it were not for trolls, nobody would be discussing
anything. That is why trolls are both loved and loathed
by all. At the same time.

Of course, as you know, there are many different kinds
of trolls. In fact, it can be said that everybody is a
troll, of one kind or another. Perhaps even multiple
kinds.

For those who still do not believe that trolls exist,
do keep in mind a very real troll has been here since
at least 2002. One of the originals. Direct from
Scandinavia.

These mythical creatures from Scandinavian folklore
are very real, not mere figments of somebody's wild
and overactive imagination. They are known to be
ugly, dirty, angry creatures, that live in dark
places, like caves or underneath bridges, waiting
to snatch up anything that passses under for a quick
meal.

The Fidonet troll is a modern version of the
mythological version. Instead of living in dark
places, such as caves, these creatures hide behind
their computer screens, and actively go out of
their way to cause trouble on Fidonet. Like the
mythological troll, the Fidonet troll is angry and
disruptive in every way - often for no reason at
all.

Does that make me a Fidonet troll? Does that make
you a Fidonet troll? Perhaps it makes us all Fidonet
trolls, with a very real troll from Scandinavia as
editor/moderator of the Fidonews.
