    I saw $7 a gallon in California.

I'm sticking with my old Plug-in Prius.

Yes, but Big Sur is an outlier - they're miles from the next gas station on
a road with few turnoffs. I saw $7 in San Jose.

    ... Just carry on

Also, I forgot to mention, that gas station in Big Sur keeps the prices higher than the norm to disincent people from filling up their tanks there. Getting gas to the station is a pain, and they want to be there for people who need gas to get to the next gas stop 30 or 40 miles away.

According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), an electric vehicle requires six times the mineral inputs of a comparable internal combustion engine vehicle.
These facts show that it is not as "green" as you have been led to believe.

Then of course comes the moment of shame when your waiting for the red-light
to change to green, next to a vehicle that a internal combustion engine.
    See ya later alligator.
